Do we know each other!!!!

Viplav: I wont forget the moment. The time was when I had an accident.

Me: You didn’t tell me about any accident. So very careless hmmmmm..

Viplav: Oh really!! I think this is the fourth time you are enjoying your STML(short term memory loss) in a span of a week

Oh my god! That was what I thought. Really.. That was our conversation at around 3:00 pm in the afternoon with everybody on both side sleeping and me making my own usual mistakes.

This is quite a very common problem to many people i.e. lack of concentration as realized to me by viplav only, as he was the first and the most frequent victim. This is the same case when you pretend to know a person but you don’t remember.. like:

  • I think we have met but I don’t remember your name
  • You are extremely beautiful and charming but getting confused with your name
  • So then its time to move Mr. Hmmmm…yp got you ( actually that was the right time to apprise the person that you don’t remember him)

I had many memorable experiences over here. Some conversation that really pushed me into the well of embarrassment:

Do I know you?

I was as usual indulged into the lip smacking pastry at Mr. Brown with the total awareness of a guy staring me. But I kept on enjoying with my pastry

Even had a lot of words to throw on him but was saved by the girl sitting next to him. After an hour or so the girl turned back and said

Hi! Bhumika ?

Being caught between the two responses like the 1 is to be given and the 1 expected. The time was like, I was watching her with so much surprise with my mind doing his job, turning each and every chapter of my life in order to get the answer of

Who is she?

And at the same time her expectations from me that now I would speak up her name.

But unlike the expectations I didn’t say a word. We exchanged our responses for a minute or so and simultaneously my mind was boggling who the hell is she. But to my relieve and even embarrassment she herself said that

Prachi, my school friend with whom I shared 7 years (not a long span I think…. its all fool’s paradise). My face went red and the only thing I thought about was to move from the place but that wasn’t all, the next moment the guy, to whom I was ready to give some beautiful words, stood up and greeted me.

That was really hell!! He was my other classmate Amit and at that time I went numbed. But being one of the most sophisticated and friendly people (ironical) among friends I spoke to them for half an hour more and ran back to hostel.

This was one of the most terrible incidences of my life and even memorable that wont let me forget the things and people who are not worth forgetting.
